Superintendent Carl Payton becomes the eighth certified field builder by the American Sports Builders Association produced by Sports Turf Company. Sports Turf Company has the most certified track and field builders on staff in the Southeastern U.S. at five, as determined by the American Sports Builders Association.
The Certified Field Builder Program was developed by the ASBA to help raise professional standards and to improve the practice of field construction. Certified Field Builders are determined by passing a comprehensive exam on field construction and maintenance by fulfilling prescribed standards of experience, while demonstrating a high level of expertise in field construction.
