The project included the renovation of the existing natural multi-purpose field to artificial turf. The new artificial turf field is lined for football, boys and girls’ lacrosse, and soccer to accommodate all sports in the community. Sports Turf Company renovated the existing natural grass field to an economical artificial turf system centered around hosting multiple sporting events, in any weather condition. Additional work included: concrete work, improvements to storm water detention, fence replacement, irrigation, new goal posts and landscaping to tie the renovation together. “We are excited to see this renovation complete for the community, especially so recreational sports can commence,” said Sports Turf Company President Todd Wiggins. “The addition of an artificial turf field to the Rock Springs Complex will allow the community to host multiple events year-round, with little to no downtime.” Rock Springs Park’s fields host youth sports through the Collins Hill Athletic Association, which feeds athletes into Collins Hill High School. Gwinnett Football League (GFL) and Gwinnett Lacrosse League (GLL) host games in the Spring and/or Fall at the park. Sports Turf specializes in the construction and installation of sport surfaces, including natural grass and artificial turf fields, tennis courts and track surfaces.
