Sports Turf to Renovate Cramton Bowl Stadium ahead of ESPN Event
Sports Turf Company, a specialty sports construction and surfacing company, is proud to announce it has been awarded the artificial turf renovation for Cramton Bowl Stadium Field in Montgomery, AL. The historic stadium hosts numerous high school games in the area. Not only that, the stadium is set to host the ESPN Event “Red Tails Classic” featuring Tuskegee University vs. Fort Valley State University. The event kicking of Sunday, Sept. 3 is focused on showcasing Historically Black Colleges and Universities in honor of the Tuskegee Airmen who fought in World War II.
Sports Turf Company will renovate Cramton Bowl Stadium’s existing artificial turf system into a system focused on durability and performance. The artificial turf system features Astro Turf’s 3D Decade System, with an industry leading 60 oz. of fiber. AstroTurf’s Decade system is a performance artificial turf that combines slit film and monofilament fibers, with a RootZone layer of texturized fibers for optimum durability and better shock absorbency that includes a 10-year warranty.
“Installing an artificial turf system that is performance-based to Cramton Bowl Stadium is extremely important to us,” Sports Turf Company President Todd Wiggins said. “We wanted a system that is not only extremely durable but can withstand multiple games throughout the year, and still remain in pristine condition for collegiate and professional games.”
