Sports Turf to Renovate Athletic Facilities at Two Baldwin County High Schools
Sports Turf Company, a specialty sports construction and surfacing company, is proud to announce it has been awarded the artificial turf field and track renovation for two Baldwin County High Schools. The field and track renovations will take place this winter for both South Alabama High Schools. The two Baldwin County Schools include:
- Spanish Fort High School- Spanish Fort, AL
- Daphne High School- Daphne, AL
Sports Turf Company will renovate both high school’s existing natural grass stadium fields into a dual fiber artificial turf system. By combining slit film and High Micron fibers into one system, AstroTurf’s Rhino Blend system offers both durability and aesthetics.
“Sports Turf is excited to provide both Baldwin County High Schools with improved athletic facilities to enhance their programs,” Sports Turf Company President Todd Wiggins said. “In an area that receives a great amount of rainfall, the artificial turf systems being will allow for less rainouts, and maintenance during the football season.”
In addition to the field renovations, the existing eight-lane running track surface at Spanish Fort High School will be resurfaced with Rekortan BSS synthetic track surfacing. While Daphne High School will receive new long jump/ triple jump runways and pole vault event.
