Sports Turf to Construct Artificial Turf Field and Track at Central Georgia Technical College

Sports Turf Company, a specialty sports construction and surfacing company, is proud to announce it has been awarded the artificial turf field and track project for Central Georgia Technical College. The project will include the demolition of the existing asphalt parking lot, construction of an artificial turf field, and asphalt track around the perimeter of the field. 

“We’re excited to create a facility that can serve many different club sports for Central Georgia Technical College,” Sports Turf Company President Todd Wiggins said. “We are creating usable space for the University by removing an existing asphalt parking lot and constructing a facility to better suit the student athletes on campus.”

Sports Turf Company will construct an artificial field that features an economical artificial turf system centered around hosting multiple sporting events, in any weather condition. The artificial turf system features Astro Rhino Blend and Brock SP 14 shock pad. The Brock SP 14 shock pad is specifically engineered to optimize safety for athletes’ during impacts to the surface, while also creating a firm, fast field.

In addition to the field, Sports Turf will construct an asphalt track around the perimeter of the field.
