Sports Turf to Complete Athletic Facility Renovations at Two Camden County Middle Schools

Sports Turf Company, a specialty sports construction and surfacing company, is proud to announce it has been awarded two Camden County Middle School field renovations. This is the second athletic facility project for Camden County Schools awarded to Sports Turf Company in the past year. Working alongside general contractor, Pope Construction, the project will include renovating both middle school fields to artificial turf.

The two Camden County Schools projects include:

• Camden County Middle School in Kingsland, GA
• St. Marys Middle School in St. Marys, GA

In 2021, Sports Turf Company completed the renovation of Camden High School’s stadium field from natural grass to artificial turf. The stadium field features a system top in safety, performance and durability and features AstroTurf Rootzone 3D3 Blend HD, Brock Powerbase YSR shock pad, and BrockFILL.

Sports Turf Company will renovate both middle schools’ existing natural grass fields to an artificial turf system that features AstroTurf’s RootZone Blend 52. AstroTurf’s RootZone 52 Blend is an artificial turf system that combines slit film and monofilament fibers with a RootZone layer of texturized fibers for optimum durability and better shock absorbency.
