Celebrating its 35th anniversary, the Classic will kick off the 2026 Georgia high school football season with 11 games over five days at four premier venues throughout metro Atlanta. “It is a great honor to continue our longstanding partnership with the Corky Kell + Dave Hunter Classic,” said Todd Wiggins, CEO of Sports Turf Company. “This event represents the tradition, excitement and excellence of Georgia high school football. We look forward to supporting the exceptional student-athletes, coaches and programs participating in this year’s Classic.” The 2026 Corky Kell + Dave Hunter Classic will feature the following matchups: ## Wednesday, August 12 **Mercedes-Benz Stadium** 5 p.m. — South Gwinnett vs. Lanier 8 p.m. — Grayson vs. North Gwinnett ## Thursday, August 13 **Mercedes-Benz Stadium** 5 p.m. — Cambridge vs. Brookwood 8 p.m. — Walton vs. Roswell ## Wednesday, August 19 **Kell High School** 4:30 p.m. — Pebblebrook vs. Clarke Central 7:30 p.m. — Kell vs. McEachern ## Thursday, August 20 **Blessed Trinity Catholic High School** 4:30 p.m. — Centennial vs. Dunwoody 7:30 p.m. — Decatur vs. Blessed Trinity ## Friday, August 21 **Georgia State University’s Center Parc Stadium** 2 p.m. — Hebron Christian vs. Carver-Atlanta 5 p.m. — Parkview vs. Coffee 8 p.m. — Houston County vs. West Forsyth The 2026 event will include nine teams that finished the 2025 season ranked in the top 10, along with nine programs making their first appearance in the Classic. This year’s schedule also marks the event’s return to Georgia State University’s Center Parc Stadium for the first time in eight years. “We are grateful for Sports Turf Company’s continued commitment to the Corky Kell + Dave Hunter Classic,” said Classic Executive Director and Score Atlanta President I.J. Their support has played an important role in the continued success and growth of the event.” Since its inaugural games at the Georgia Dome in 1992, the Corky Kell + Dave Hunter Classic has grown into one of Georgia’s most anticipated high school football traditions. The annual event brings together many of the state’s top programs and student-athletes while celebrating the lasting impact of Georgia high school football.
