Sports Turf Scores Corky Kell Sponsorship to Kickoff the 2020 High School Football Season

Sports Turf Company, a sports facility construction company, is a proud sponsor of the 2020 Corky Kell Classic for the third year in a row. The four-day event is set to kick off the 2020 high school football season with nine games at nine separate locations.  

“Sports Turf is excited to help kick off the high school season with some of the most competitive football in the country,” said Todd Wiggins, President of Sports Turf Company. “Even with all the uncertainty caused by COVID-19, we are pleased the Corky Kell organizers have found a safe way to continue with these games that give so much back to these young student athletes.” 

The 29th Annual Corky Kell Classic games will be played at the following venues:

• Wednesday, Sept. 2
  • 5:30 p.m. - Carver-Atlanta at Cherokee
  • 10 mins after the first game ends - Mays at West Forsyth
• Thursday, Sept. 3
  • 5:30 p.m. - Brookwood at Dacula
  • 10 mins after the first game ends - McEachern at North Gwinnett
• Friday, Sept. 4
  • 5:30 p.m. - Kell at Walton
  • 10 mins after the first game ends - Parkview at Mill Creek
• Saturday, Sept. 5
  • 11 a.m. - Carrollton at Collins Hill
  • 10 mins after the first game ends - Lowndes at Archer
  • 10 mins after the second game ends - Denmark at Greater Atlanta Christian

Former NFL linebacker and University of Georgia All-American Rennie Curran will be joining Sports Turf during the live broadcast games on Thursday, Sept. 3 to announce their partnership. As a Gwinnett County-native, Curran understands the competitive nature of football throughout the state and a need for safer, more durable athletic facilities.
