Sports Turf to Debut First Ever NFL Flag Branded Field in the Country in Dothan, AL

Sports Turf Company, a specialty sports construction and surfacing company, is proud to announce the completion of the first-ever NFL FLAG branded field at Grandview School in Dothan. Through support from the NFL Foundation and the Atlanta Falcons, the existing natural grass field was renovated into an artificial turf to host the area’s flag football games and practices for more than 1,000 youth boys and girls.
In partnership with Visit Dothan and RCX Sports, Sports Turf will host a ribbon cutting to debut the Grandview Izell Reese Community Center Field with the public at 900 6th Avenue on Thursday, June 15 at 10 a.m.
“We’re thankful for the work Sports Turf has provided to make this facility a reality,” said RCX Sports Founder and CEO Izell Reese. “None of what we do could be possible without our partners at the NFL Foundation and the Atlanta Falcons, who graciously helped bring this to life for Dothan youth athletes. Through this facility, we’ll be able to increase accessibility to youth sports for children of all ages year round.”
NFL FLAG is the largest youth football league in the U.S. serving both male and female youth athletes of all abilities four to 17 years old. The field will allow these athletes to develop their fundamental football skills in a positive, inclusive environment.
