Sports Turf Company, a specialty sports construction and surfacing company, is proud to announce it has completed Heard County High School’s stadium field replacement and the construction of the new covered practice field.
Sports Turf Company renovated Heard County High School’s existing artificial turf stadium field into a system that excels in safety, durability, and performance. The new surface features AstroTurf’s RootZone 3D Blend turf system and Brock shock pad. AstroTurf’s RootZone 3D Blend is a performance artificial turf system that combines slit film and monofilament fibers with a RootZone layer for optimum durability and better shock absorbency. The Brock shock pad is specifically engineered to optimize safety for athletes’ during impacts to the surface, while also reducing lower extremity injuries.
The new covered practice field for the Braves features the same system installed on the stadium field: AstroTurf’s RootZone 3D Blend turf system with Brock shock pad.
“We are excited to see the renovation of Heard County Stadium and the construction of the new covered practice facility for the Braves completed,” said Sports Turf Company President Todd Wiggins. “It is a great honor to help make the vision of Heard County School a reality. We know the updated stadium field and covered practice facility will make a lasting impact on the student-athletes and coaches for Heard County High School.”
