The project consisted of constructing an artificial turf baseball field and softball field for the Wildcats. Sports Turf Company installed a performance based artificial turf system that leads the industry in performance, durability, and safety. The artificial turf system features AstroTurf’s Diamond Series turf system, Brock Powerbase YSR shock pad, and organic infill, BrockFILL. AstroTurf’s Diamond Series is a performance artificial turf system that combines slit film and nylon monofilament fibers with a RootZone layer of texturized fibers for optimum durability and better shock absorbency. The revolutionary Brock Powerbase YSR shock pad technology features large drainage channels, shock-absorbing structures and 25-millimeter thickness to improve player safety, provide more effective drainage, and ensure a firm, consistent playing surface for the lifetime of the field.  “We’re honored that Valdosta High School has entrusted us to build high level softball and baseball facilities for their prestigious programs,” said Sports Turf Company President Todd Wiggins. “The artificial turf system for the Wildcats utilizes AstroTurf’s most advanced turf system, while maintaining the play of the game.” Sports Turf specializes in the construction and installation of sport surfaces, including natural grass and artificial turf fields, tennis courts, and track surfaces. In addition, Sports Turf Company serves as a consultant and owners’ advocate through the entire process of selecting the best facility solutions and surfaces to meet their specific needs. ![Valdosta High School](https://3919443.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net/hub/3919443/hubfs/1-Mar-28-2024-06-03-10-2565-PM.png?width=1200&length=1200&name=1-Mar-28-2024-06-03-10-2565-PM.png) ![Valdosta High School](https://3919443.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net/hub/3919443/hubfs/2-Mar-28-2024-06-03-29-5992-PM.png?width=1200&length=1200&name=2-Mar-28-2024-06-03-29-5992-PM.png) ![Valdosta High School](https://3919443.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net/hub/3919443/hubfs/3-Mar-28-2024-06-03-48-6722-PM.png?width=1200&length=1200&name=3-Mar-28-2024-06-03-48-6722-PM.png) ![Valdosta High School](https://3919443.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net/hub/3919443/hubfs/4-Mar-28-2024-06-04-10-5689-PM.png?width=1200&length=1200&name=4-Mar-28-2024-06-04-10-5689-PM.png) [Back to Blog](https://blog.sportsturf.net) - [Tweet](https://twitter.com/share) ## Related Articles ## [Sports Turf to Construct Baseball and Softball Fields at Valdosta High School](https://blog.sportsturf.net/sports-turf-to-construct-baseball-and-softball-fields-at-valdosta-high-school) Sports Turf Company, a specialty sports construction and surfacing company, is proud to announce it...
