Sports Turf Company to Renovate Park Crossing High School’s Track and Field

Sports Turf Company, a specialty sports construction and surfacing company, is proud to announce it has been awarded the artificial turf field and track renovation for Park Crossing High School.

Previously built by Sports Turf Company in 2013, Park Crossing High School’s facility is a Sports Turf Legacy Project. We are proud to recognize an exclusive group of projects that Sports Turf returns to after initially renovating, to provide updated technology. This allows Sports Turf to come back over a decade later to provide a new surface that better suits the program, and for the Thunderbirds it is an artificial turf system.

Sports Turf Company will renovate Park Crossing High School’s existing natural grass field into an AstroTurf artificial turf system. The system installed will stand up to high traffic and heavy rainfall to give the Thunderbirds a consistent surface to compete on.

“We are excited to be back at Park Crossing High School to provide them with a facility that will make an impact for their athletic programs,” Sports Turf Company President Todd Wiggins said. “While economical, the systems that will be installed can withstand heavy traffic from different sports, in virtually any weather condition.”

In addition to the field renovation, the existing track will be removed and resurfaced with Rekortan BS synthetic surface. Rekortan BS is a high-quality, cost-effective surface that provides good force reduction for athletes.
