Sports Turf Company, a specialty sports construction and surfacing company, is proud to announce it has been awarded the artificial turf football field project at Red Devil Hill Athletic Complex for Jackson High School. Working alongside Parrish Construction, the project will include an artificial turf football field, home bleachers, a two-story athletic accessory building, a baseball field house and dugouts.
The new artificial turf field at Red Devil Hill Athletic Complex will feature AstroTurf’s RootZone 3D3 Blend HD turf system, Brock Powerbase YSR shock pad, and BrockFILL. AstroTurf’s RootZone 3D3 Blend HS is a performance artificial turf system that combines slit film and monofilament fibers for optimum durability. The revolutionary Brock Powerbase YSR shock pad technology features large drainage channels, shock-absorbing structures and 25 millimeter thickness to improve player safety and provide more effective drainage. As the latest in alternative infills, BrockFILL is sustainably grown and harvested in Georgia. The unique properties of the wood infill decreases field temperatures and feels more natural with increased traction and footing for athletes.
“We’re honored that Jackson High School looks to Sports Turf as the expert in athletic facility construction,” Sports Turf Company President Todd Wiggins said. “Jackson High School is setting a new standard by providing their student-athletes with the best of the best in terms of athletic facility surfacing. This artificial turf system will utilize the most advanced technology, while maintaining the play of the game.”
