Sports Turf Company Continues Construction on New Morrow High School’s Athletic Facility

Sports Turf Company, a specialty sports construction and surfacing company, is hard at work on New Morrow High School’s athletic facility complex. The facility for the South Atlanta school includes:

• Eight Lane Running Track
• Six Lane Running Track
• One Natural Grass Practice Field
• One Natural Grass Multi-Purpose Field
• Artificial Turf Football Field
• Artificial Turf Softball Field
• Artificial Turf Baseball Field
• Tennis Courts

The artificial turf football field for the Mustangs will feature AstroTurf’s Rootzone Blend 52 Turf system. AstroTurf’s RootZone Blend is a performance artificial turf system that combines slit film and monofilament fibers for optimum durability. The systems on both the softball and baseball fields feature AstroTurf’s Diamond Series. AstroTurf’s Diamond Series is an artificial turf system that combines slit film and nylon monofilament fibers with a RootZone layer of texturized fibers for a consistent, firm surface with uniform ball bounce.

Sports Turf will construct two natural grass fields that include a 4” rootzone and Tifway 419 Bermuda due to its ability to establish faster and recover quickly.

Both tracks at New Morrow High School will include Sports Track ST-55. The systems are an economical, but a durable system for high school athletes to train and compete on.
