This project marks a significant investment in the college’s athletic infrastructure, providing student-athletes with a premier facility for competition and training. The completion of the soccer complex further strengthens the ongoing partnership between Sports Turf Company and Northeast Alabama Community College. Prior to this contract, Sports Turf Company successfully completed a new softball complex located immediately adjacent to the soccer facility. This earlier project played a pivotal role in the college's athletic expansion, helping the Mustangs introduce a new sport to their campus community. This comprehensive project, completed by Sports Turf, features a high-performance synthetic turf soccer field designed to withstand heavy use while maintaining elite playability. In addition to the playing surface, Sports Turf Company oversaw the installation of professional-grade MUSCO lighting for night play and integrated soccer netting systems. “We are proud to complete this premier facility on the Northeast Alabama Community College campus,” said Todd Wiggins, CEO of Sports Turf Company. “Both the softball and soccer complexes represent a significant investment in the Mustangs' future, providing the high-caliber environment necessary to propel their athletic programs to the next level.” The new soccer facility features AstroTurf’s Rhino Blend Series, a premier artificial turf system that combines Slit Film and High Micron fibers. This innovative engineering ensures the field offers industry-leading durability and a professional aesthetic for the Mustangs. Sports Turf specializes in the construction and installation of sports surfaces, including natural grass and artificial turf fields, tennis courts and track surfaces. In addition, Sports Turf Company serves as a consultant and owners’ advocate through the entire process of selecting the best facility solutions and surfaces to meet owners’ specific needs.
