Sports Turf Company, a specialty sports construction and surfacing company, is proud to announce the completion of the new indoor artificial turf field at Valdosta High School. The facility provides the Wildcats with a high-performing, year-round training space designed to enhance athlete safety, durability and performance.
The completed project marks the fourth athletic facility entrusted to Sports Turf Company by Valdosta City Schools within the past four years.

The indoor field features AstroTurf’s RootZone 3D Blend HD turf system, a Brock shock pad and infill. The advanced artificial turf system was selected to deliver consistent performance, enhanced impact absorption and long-term durability.
AstroTurf’s RootZone 3D Blend system combines slit-film and monofilament fibers with a texturized RootZone layer. This combination provides increased durability, improved infill stabilization and enhanced shock absorption for student-athletes.
Installed beneath the turf system, the Brock shock pad is specifically engineered to help reduce impacts to the playing surface and provide an additional layer of athlete protection.
The new indoor facility builds upon Sports Turf Company’s longstanding partnership with Valdosta City Schools. Sports Turf Company previously converted the Wildcats’ natural grass practice field to artificial turf in 2022, began construction on the school’s artificial turf baseball and softball complex in 2023 and completed an artificial turf system replacement at Bazemore-Hyder Stadium in 2024.
With construction officially complete, the Wildcats now have a state-of-the-art indoor facility that will support practices, training and athletic development in all weather conditions.
