Sports Turf Company, a leading specialty sports construction and surfacing firm, is proud to celebrate Chief Executive Officer Todd Wiggins’ 20th anniversary with the company.
Wiggins joined Sports Turf Company in July 2006 and has built a distinguished career defined by hard work, technical expertise and a commitment to the company’s clients, employees and communities. A consistent record of accomplishments led to his rapid progression through the company, serving in positions that included superintendent, sales and marketing, director of project development, vice president, president and, most recently, chief executive officer.

Throughout his tenure, Wiggins has helped guide Sports Turf Company’s continued growth throughout the Southeast while maintaining the company’s commitment to safety, quality, innovation and long-term client relationships. His notable project experience includes the University of West Georgia Athletic Complex, Auburn University’s athletic facilities, Alabama State University’s football field, Kennesaw State University’s track and the University of Mississippi’s stadium and practice facilities.
Under Wiggins’ leadership, Sports Turf Company has continued to expand its portfolio of natural grass fields, artificial turf fields, running tracks and tennis courts throughout the southeast. The company has now completed thousands of projects, earned more than 20 industry awards and completed more than 100 athletic facilities encompassing over four million square feet of high-performance surfaces in 2025 alone.
Wiggins holds two distinguished certifications from the American Sports Builders Association: Certified Field Builder and Certified Track Builder. Both credentials require extensive professional experience, successful completion of comprehensive examinations and demonstrated expertise in athletic facility construction. He also serves as a track construction expert on the association’s Track Certification Committee, where he helps advance industry standards, best practices and innovation by contributing to certification testing, establishing professional construction standards and evaluating candidates’ experience, references and eligibility.
