This is a very large job that will be completed in three phases across 2024. Following a request for proposals, Sports Turf Company was selected by Fulton County Schools to be the most qualified athletic construction company based on numerous stipulations to include: work experience, quality of products, and history of completing projects on time and within budget. Sports Turf will renovate the existing natural grass practice fields at all 12 high schools as well as Cambridge High School’s stadium field, to an AstroTurf artificial turf system. The artificial turf system that will be installed will feature monofilament fibers with a RootZone layer of texturized fibers for optimum durability and better shock absorbency.  In addition to the field renovations, the existing eight-lane running track surfaces at Johns Creek HS, Cambridge HS, and Langston Hughes HS will be resurfaced with Rekortan M synthetic surface, a World Athletics-certified, impermeable system featuring two distinct layers. This system delivers force reduction, ensures stability for predictable footing, and is sealed to protect against moisture intrusion. “We are honored that Fulton County Schools has the faith in the Sports Turf to complete such a large-scale project, that will benefit multiple sports on campus” said Todd Wiggins, President of Sports Turf Company. “It is a privilege to work with a school system that does their due diligence when selecting companies that will construct their facilities.” Sports Turf Company specializes in construction and installation of all different types of sport surfaces including natural grass and artificial turf football, baseball, soccer fields, tennis courts and track surfaces. In addition, Sports Turf prides itself on serving as a consultant and owner’s advocate through the entire process of selecting the best facility drainage and surfaces to meet owners’ specific needs.  [Back to Blog](https://blog.sportsturf.net) - [Tweet](https://twitter.com/share) ## Related Articles ## [Sports Turf Company Completes Athletic Facility Renovations at Three Gwinnett County Public Schools](https://blog.sportsturf.net/sports-turf-company-completes-athletic-facility-renovationsat-three-gwinnett-county-public-schools) Sports Turf Company, a specialty sports construction and surfacing company, is proud to announce...
